I have recently read that there is a manufacturing issue in the Model Train industry. From what I read, there was one factory that did the largest percentage of all plastic molding for all manufacturers. This factory has been bought by the Bachmann Group, and solely does work for Bachmann products now, shutting all other manufacturers out. This factory was 10 times bigger then any other factory. This has led to no production time being available for other manufacturers and long delays in releases of new items.
Question: Does anyone know if this will effect other plastic productions, ie armor and aircaft? I assume that not all plastic manufacturers have their own plastic molding factory, or do they?

A side note: If you want a custom run, try "Atlantis Plastics" in Fort Smith, AR. That is in the United States. The products I saw, having been ground floor, had little flash. I know that they used to do one offs, but their main client has since shut down. Worth a try.
