The gallery should be working to upload pictures to your photo area or individual albums now.

Hi Jim
Is there still an issue with the forum clocks as I am still getting a discrepancy between my post timings and current clock time here in the UK ???????

I did actually make a change today for PHP to use GMT instead of MST. As my post times in this topic say GMT now I think that worked. There may of course be some period where the switch mucked things up for older posts.

Hi Jim,
I can't upload picture in gallery... When I try upload picture, error, error... And this message :
"An appropriate representation of the requested resource /bulkupload.php could not be found on this server.
Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request."

Jim,
I am still having difficulty in uploading pics, I have tried uploading two pictures of a finished build, I select each picture put in the description and click the upload button, it shows the icon that indicates it is working, then shows a message saying that my images have been successfully uploaded and returns me to the gallery but they are not there, and they are not anywhere else that I can see. I haven't uploaded any in my account as yet so there is room, both pictures are around the 2.6 mb to 2.7 mb in size. I don't understand what the issue is and can only assume that it is a glitch on the site, unless I've overlooked something obvious.
Can you help please?
Rich

Hi Rich,
The only time this usually happens is if the image type is not supported (like a .bmp or .tiff) or if the file size is larger than the max 3mb limit. How many kb or bytes is the file you are trying to upload?

Jim

Hi Erhan,
You have me a bit stumped on this one. Are you checking the box that says something about processing files already in your directory? If so why? Don't check that box.

Best wishes,
Jim

Jim,
They are JPEG's and one file is 2.76 MB (2,900,900 bytes) and the second image is 2.43 MB (2,550,001 bytes).
I just don't understand why it says they've been uploaded successfully and then they're not there.

The pictures are way too big file size wise, you should be ainming at about 100kb per picture.

100kb, but there is a 3mb limit which these are smaller than, and I'd find it hard to upload pictures of any quality that were only 100kb in file size?
Still, I'll give it a try and see if I can convert the images to lower resolution and try to bring them down in size etc and see if I can reduce the file size closer to 100kb and give that a go.

I understand that but your total gallery space will be full with only a handful of pictures in it, and you do not gain anything from having huge picture files. As an example the pictures we use on features and news articles on the site are all below 200kb and that causes no issues for the viewer.
Now while I cannot say the picture size is caussing the issue you are suffering it will not be helping it either.

It's worked, I converted them to around 90kb at 1024 x 768, and they've uploaded fine and you can still see all the detail.
My thanks to you for your assistance Darren and Jim, very helpful.
