Does anyone know where I could buy a small, rectangular display case for a 1/48-1/35 figure? I found something on ebay, but they're sold in 12 packs... that's a bit too many for me.

I'm also looking for replacement width indicator pole for 1/72 sd.kfz251... I could have swore I saw someone make them a year ago, but I just can't find them again.

Hey Andas, Try one of those clear plastic photo cubes that hold 6 pictures. They are pretty cheap and slide open with 2 (U) shaped pieces. Can even do a bit of ground work in them. They are about 4x4 inchs square.

Thank you for the suggestion. Would you please show me exactly what you thought about? It just does not ring a bell...

Andras, they're just small acrylic display cubes. They are available in many different sizes.

You must be thinking I'm thick, but I promise I'm not I just am not sure where I can get them from. Shops selling photo-related stuff? Online? Do they have a brand I can search for?

Thanks, and thank you for the patience

Hi, Andras. The 3.5" x 3.5" photo cube I have is made in China for MCS Industries in Pennsylvania. I'm sure I got it at a craft store such as Michael's or A.C. Moore here in the US (sorry I can't speak to equivalent outlets in the UK) and I wouldn't have spent more than $3.00 USD on it.

They might work for you. However, personally I don't recommend them because they're so oddly constructed - two |_| -shaped parts that fit together to make a cube. I suppose if I'd only ever built ships in bottles, this would seem like child's play... as it is, I find them awkward and always in their own way for building little figure dioramas.

Instead, I opt for baseball display cases made by Pioneer (also in the USA). If you want to display a single 1/35 figure, there's much less empty space in the smaller box. Sadly, AC Moore recently discontinued stocking them. You can contact them from their website (wholesale only) and ask if they're available in the UK:

Here are a few projects I've used them for. (View the entire album here.) The animals are 1/35; the people are 54mm.

Happy modeling!

Depending on figure height, one source of affordable "cases" is the plastic box from Ferrero Rocher chocolates! (The double-stacked ones holding 16.) My missus uses them for her 28mm Warhammer Empire squads. Best of all, I get to help empty them first...

No idea about the width indicators in 1:72. Can you make your own from brass wire?
