Hi Jim S,

Lately (since the move) I've noticed that pages fail to load, especially if I use the "back" button to return to something, but also whenever a refresh is called for, such as when posting a reply in a thread. Instead of loading the whole page, all I get is the charcoal background and the black Kitmaker top banner. To get the rest I then need to hit the refresh button on my browser. Is this at my end (I'm running IE9 on Windows 7 64bit) or is it with the site?

I think it is an internet explorer issue. I tried it in Firefox last light and the pages seemed to load pretty fast.

Hi Tom,
That sounds like a page or site caching issue with your browser vs. anything from the server move. Other than the issue we are still having with the gallery, everything else seemed to work fine as we moved to an exact matched server in terms of software, etc.

If this keeps happening after you have cleared cookies, history, and cache though let me know.

Thanks Jim, I'll fiddle with IE - it won't be the first time it was the source of grief...

I have been having the same problem. Occassionaly the page will load with the first attempt. I'm constantly having to reload the page. I am using the latest version of internet explorer. At first, I thought it was just my computer. I optimized it with a program I had and it did not have any effect. I have also increased my cache size and deleted all non-pertinant files. Still no joy. Hearing that somebody else is having the same problem makes me think it may be a problem with the site.

I'll confirm it as an IE issue.
I'm using Firefox right now. No problem loading pages.

And I have the same issues as the rest using IE9, been since the move or very shortly after. Other browsers work fine.

Update:

I "cleaned house" and things improved, but it didn't take long to return to load speeds of 10-30 seconds per page. Other sites are fine in my browser, so I suspect there's a conflict between IE9 and Armorama.com. Still, at least it will eventually load the pages!

I have my browser set to "Automatic" as regards updating saved pages - is this the culprit?

Hi Tom,
Automatic should work fine. I am using IE here where I am at but this computer hasn't been on the site in a long time so that is probably why it's working normally.

I downloaded Firefox this morning to give it a try.Site worked really fast, but my laptop didn't like it.Messed a lot of other things up,so I uninstalled it.The site works well for me using IE but then it starts slowing down and I have to refresh almost every page.I also noticed that when I log in to the gallery to check if I can move pics into it(which I still can't),when I go back to Armorama I have to log in again. Thanks,Jeff T.

Using firefox, I've run into to the following problem. Occasionally(1 out of 5 times), I get a "waiting for adserver to load" message. This requires that I reload the page. No big deal. I just thought the staff should know.
