We've just received our first batch of the new Eduard 1/48 P-38J Lightning over Europe set and new 1/72 Eduard Bf110E Profipack.

The P-38J is the excellent Academy P-38J with a load of Eduard extras as you might expect. You get the usual Mask and cockpit colour zoom etch but Eduard have also thrown in and extra etch sheet of exterior parts. In addition you get Brassin (resin) wheels, turbo-superchargers, air intakes and a full cockpit set - the resin is very nicely detailed and cast! To finish it off, is a set of decals by Cartograf for 6 different planes.

The full UK RRP should be around £42 but our website price is £34.00!

The 1/72 Bf110E is a totally new tool kit from Eduard (possibly scaled down from their 1/48 kit). In the box it looks to be the best Bf110 in scale so far. The surface detail and panel lines are much finer than Airfix, the cockpit is far better detailed and one of the biggest accuracy issues with the Airfix kit had been sorted by Eduard. The nacelles do not go over the flaps! All in all, combined with a set of mask and cockpit colour zoom etch, this should be a much better model when built than it's Airfix or indeed Fujimi rival.

Also just a quick reminder that if you haven't got an Eduard 1/48 Bf109 yet, we have both the E-1 and E-4 in stock. The E-1 is priced at £19.50, while the E-4 is a bit cheaper at £17.25, both should save you a few £'s off the full RRP!
