I am a 45 year old father of two boys. My 8 year old loves to build things. He is starting to out grow Legos so I decided to try models. We have bought a few snap together models and they seem to be about right for him. In the mean time, I discovered that I want to try my hand at building. In my younger days, I built cars and airplanes. I never had any trouble putting together models. I just never had any luck painting. At this point in my life, tanks interest me more than anything else. Hopefully I can learn from every one on this great site and turn something out that looks half way decent.

I am a high school teacher by trade. I love baseball and shooting guns. I also need a hobby to get me off of the video games in the evenings.

Welcome! Good to hear young-blood is getting into the hobby. Glad for as many treadheads as we can get. I'm sure you will pick up quite a bit from this forum.
