It has been my dream to one day own a BTR-60 APC for a long time. Having recently contacted the guys at mortar investments, I have found out that I could own one for around $30,000 including shipping, Which is alot less than the price of todays cars and worth it even more considering it is pretty much a museum piece. Owning and restoring one would not only be a great hobby, but would also teach me many important skills.

Taking a look here:

http://www.mortarinvestments.eu/products/armoured-vehicles-4/btr-60-8

It does not seem as if they are the advertised BTR-60PB variant. The only pictures are of what looks like radio equippment as opposed to the PB troop carrier variant. Seems to me like it is some sort of command version. Can anyone confirm this? It seems alot more interesting if it is the BTR-60 PU variant that I think it is (minus the wrap around antenna?). A whole lot more of equippment to try and get working, including a computer system!

Any information, advice or opinions are welcomed!

Come on....why not the Dana,

Smoking deal on that, under $20Gs, great for that 1:1 reference to build that 1/35 Dana on your shelf!

Interesting site.
It looks like a PU minus the big aerial but there were a lot of command and control type variants like forward observer, air control, air defence command and mobile signals etc.
