Hi everyone guys, i would like to share with you my new purchase.
Since i dont have so much space availaible at home and since my wife gets pretty hungry when i start to bring home big modelling stuff , i decided to purchase an article that i found here in Japan . The name is " Photola "

basically its a coupple of photo lights boxes with orientable reflecting tops and 3 different kind of light diffuser screens for the front part . You can check the details here : ( the website is in Japanese but there are plenty of pics )

http://www.photola.co.jp/

So far im quite happy with the product , the lights are very bright and very compact :

and here are some pics i took after a quick set up to test the product , pics taken with my iphone 4 :

I think i need to play a bit with it to get the ideal light setting , and im happy because once its closed the set keeps just the space of 3 books .

Thanks for reading and regards
Alex

Very nice. I can't make any sense out of the first link. Translator doesn't translate well and the light could be under any of several links.

I'm curious as to what a set costs.

You can achieve a similar environment with a piece of white poster board and an OTT light. Generally speaking, I use a pale blue pillow case in place of the poster board.

I've tried cloth instead of poster board, and still use it from time to time. I've always run into the issue of wrinkles which are a pain to deal with as it usually requires the use of an iron or steamer.

At a price difference of $150, I have no problem ironing cloth.

Excellent. Good lighting. With a large aperture of the camera, it is so small it deep field. The foreground in focus and out of focus background. Congrats. ... Jorge.
