Hi Guys and Gals

I am fairly new to modelling but loving my new hobby.

I have been reading a lot about weathering and have a question.

If i wanted to apply a pin wash to a tank, I believe I should apply a gloss first or a satin varnish.
What I wanted to know is how would I get the model back to looking like a matt finish after applying a gloss ,do I just spray a matt varnish over the top of the Gloss finish?

Probably a dumb question, but any help would be great.

Thanks

Gary
