Hi all,

I'm flying to Budapest next week, getting there for my job.

Posted a similar query on Missing Lynx, but got no answer so far, and the threads on the same subject there are not up to date.

Basically I'm looking for hobby shops with a good range of 1/35 AFV kits and aftermarket stuff, military bookstores and possibly museums with armour displays, but I'll have very little time beside work.

Name of shops, museums with opening days and times and websites, if possible.

Is it possible to find those elusive Botond 1/16th scale kits somewhere?

What about Friul tracks, are they cheaper in Hungary?

Many thanks for your help!

Cheers,

Christophe

went there 4 years ago,
found 3 shops on the net and there version of the phone book,
one in the closed streets of the inner city was very good with resin CMK and normal stock, open as in the tourist area.

the others were all closed over the period i was there as they were all on there 2 week holiday brake, apart from the tourist areas.( from what i could see through the windows they may have been good to browse around)

I never kept the list or locations as i was on a moter bike tour of europe and it got very wet and broke up by the end of it.

Thanks Frank!

If anyone else wants to chime in...

In any case if I have the time to visit the shops (fingers crossed), I'll post some information here late next week.

Cheers,

Christophe
