Hi All,

My 10 yr old Liam wrote this poem as a school project for ANZAC day:

War

I see the solders lay down their lives at the hands of cold metal.

I hear their screams of agony as bullets rip through them.
I feel wet mud climb up my body.

The horrible taste of blood runs into my mouth.

The smell of death hangs pungent in the air.

I lie on the ground scrabbling to get away.

But all attempts are futile, for you cannot run from the pain and death that war brings.

Liam Brennan age 10.
His Grandfathers fought with 2NZEF in North Africa & Italy
on my side and on his mothers with the RNZAF in the PPacific.

I study war that my daughter may study philosophy.
