I recently picked up a book from my local used book store for $2. Panzer Battles by Major General F.W. von Mellenthin. This book is mostly a first hand account of the fighting on all fronts, from the German perspective. von Mellenthin avoids propoganda and political views and rather concentrates on the facts of the war.
