Does anyone else use Ambroid Pro Weld? I have been using it for 20 or so years once I found out about it. Someone is now telling me that the company might be out of business. Can anyone confirm or deny this??

I doubt the company is going out of business. The adhesive is readily available.

Hi Damon,
Yes, Ambroid has ceased to be. Don't panic though. Ron at Red Frog Hobbies has a few bottles left. Micro Mark is now selling Pro Weld as Same Stuff Professional Plastic Welder. You'll recognize the label.

Ambroid Pro Weld uses methylene chloride (dichloromethane) as its solvent and is similar to Tenax and a few others. (I believe Tenax is trichloromethane.) You can check the MSDS to find other similar cements. Manufacturers have to provide a MSDS upon request.
