Hi I'm a total newbie to AFV modelling, although I have some experience with aircraft.
I have a thread going in Modern Armor US " My First AFV" and have been getting great advice from Gino and the guys over there. I just wanted to throw this one open to a wider group.
Whilst working on the tracks of my Academy 1/35 Bradley M2A0 I accidentally split the track - I had it joined ok using an old soldering iron, but whatever happened later, it's broken - not at the join, but between 2 other links.
What's the best way or joining it up? I guess any join will be well hidden beneath the Brad skirts anyway. Staples, duck tape???
Thanks,
Pete

Hi Pete
Are they vinyl track links?
If yes, joining them with staples would be the only solution

for vinyl tracks you want a mechanical solution like staples or thread. Glue-based tape goes nasty over time, and will either let go or get gooey.

Last time I broke a vinyl track I used a stapler to sort it out.

I agree with the others, staples works best. You can then rotate the repair up under the side skirts to hide it.

I would use invisible threads sold at a fabric place then weather it with pigments
