Hi Guys

I want to get some brass sheet that I can cut with a knife that will be suitable for detailing 1/72 and 1/76 scale armour

Can you suggest a suitable thickness please

Rob, not sure about the thickness, but I have certainly cut brass sheet with a knife before - basically by scoring it until I have a definite groove and then bending it back and forth along that line until it breaks. Worked quite well, just need to clean up the edges with emery paper / file etc. I suspect you could apply this method to most of the likely thicknesses of sheet you might use that you could sucessfully bend back and forth with your hand. I have also just used a sharp pair of scissors before.

I normally buy the thinest stuff I can find at the store then I use scissors to cut it and a file to smooth it.

0,1 0,2 at most 0,3 mm

You can cut them with a common x-acto blades.
Be careful because cutting metal, blades fast become blunt

cheers
