looking for someone with some knowledge who can answer some compressor questions.

1). What size holding tank do I need to run two airbrushes simultaneously without noticing a drop in pressure assuming I have regulators on both lines, assuming a dual line set up?

2). How long would a 2 gallon tank of air last at 20PSI assuming that the motor will not kick on if pressure drops below 20 PSI?

Cheers.

1. The tank does not determine the pressure, only how long you can maintain that pressure. You need a large enough orifice in your adapaters/fittings to maintain the higher pressure with 2 airbrushes.

2. A 2 gallon tank will not last long with 2 brushes going. I spray with a single brush, typically under 20 psi, and I have an 8 gallon tank. Depending on the vehicle, I cannot typically finish 1 tank with without the tank falling too low on pressure. That includes a base coat, and typically some camo coat(s).
