I live in Burlington, I've only found Modeller's Choice on Upper James and Carefree Hobbies and Models on Speers. Anyone know a place in my neck of the woods with good tools/supplies/paints? I'd particularly like a Vallejo dealer. There's lots of hobby shops around but their websites are typically jurassic

Hey there Richard,

Although not in the area (on the east coast in New Brunswick), I carry Vallejo and mail order it to customers all over Canada and the US.

Click my banner below in my sig. to go to the website....hopefully not too "jurassic" for you! LOL

Richard,
I work in Hamilton and travel the roads Oakville to Niagara falls and everything in between. Other then the two you mentioned, there is Hobby Central in St Catharines on St Paul street. Brick and mortar shops are becoming like hens teeth

I'm from Niagara, Hobby Central is near and dear to me. They'll persist because they're an art supply store as well. Actually they cater to just about every hobby don't they.

Scott, do you carry any sets of Vallejo air?

Hi,

Best store I've been at yet is Wheels and Wings on the Danforth in Toronto. The whole store is plastic models and it's a good size place. I was very impressed when I paid them a visit last week.

Go have a look, you will be happy you did.

Okay I've decided that Dundas Valley Hobby is the winner so far. They have a better selection of tools and chemicals that pretty much anywhere. The only thing I couldn't find, although I bet they do have it is a riveting roller. The kit selection (for aircraft) was a bit odd, emphasis heavily on 1:72 are 1:35 and other "big scale" leaving a hole where 1:48 should be. Although the owner did mention he felt he needed to do a restock on his aircraft section. Nice fella, I suppose what I'm saying is that I recommend this place.

Hey there Richard,

Sorry don't have the sets, but do have all of the Vallejo air colors separately. Usually ends up being not much difference in price anyway....at most maybe 10-15 cents a bottle.

If you can't find in Canada, order it from the USA. Have them ship to US Mail Boxes just across the Lewiston and pick it up. My preference is to support Canadian brick and mortar but when not available, I've found this to work well.

My shop of choice is Hornet Hobbies in Scarborough. Place is very well stocked.
