We’ve made minimal revisions to the AMPS Contest Rules for 2012. These revised Contest Rules are posted on the AMPS web-site at http://www.amps-armor.org/ampssite/contestRules.aspx. The following is a summary, by section in the Contest Rules, of this year’s revisions:

Establishing a Judging Corps: Added sections describing the duties of RamRods and Runners.

Method of Judging and Operations (notes): Added wording that AMPS International Convention medal winning entries may be limited in competition at subsequent local or Regional AMPS shows, at the discretion of show organizers.

Special Judging: Revised the Master’s Skill Level judging team composition and judging process as follows: The MASTERS category (Category XIII) is judged by a team of four judges, at least two of whom must be AMPS MASTERS and the remaining members must be at least an ADVANCED skill level modeler. This team will be managed by the Chief Judge. All four members of the team will vote, and the final score will be the sum of the three highest scores.

Diorama Judging Criteria, System for Diorama Judging: Added wording which allows the same research bonus criteria and process used for models to apply to Dioramas.

Vignette Judging Criteria, System for Vignette Judging: Added wording which allows the same research bonus criteria and process used for models to apply to Vignettes.
