I'm working on a 1/35 Tamiya Panzer III and when I did a test fit of the tracks (the newer ones from Tamiya, wich can be glued, not sure if it's vinyl..?) they seem to be too loose; they touch the underside of the fender.

I do remember reading somewhere that these kind of tracks can be shrunk by putting them in warm water. I can't find anything about it on the web, and I don't want to take too much risk. That's why I'm asking here

So is it possible to shrink these kind of threads in warm water? Or is there any other way? The tracks are unpainted by the way, so no problems with paint.

Paul, I had a problem with a set of Trumpeters tracks and yes I soaked them in hot water to shrink them. I would take them out frequently and test fit them cause once they shrink too much they will not fit. Good luck, hope it works out for ya

Thanks for your reply

Does the water have to be hot, or just warm? And how long do I approximately have to keep the tracks under each time?
