Hey all,

I have an old badger whirlwind II compressor. It puts out more than enough pressure, but I am looking for a quieter compressor as I live in an apartment and don't want to be a nussance. I would prefere as quiet as possible with around a ~$500-$600 budget.

It seems the silentaire 20A or the badger millionaire thing are both good fits. Does anybody have either of these models and care to wiegh in?

Thanks.

Ahoy Mark,

I was able to pick up a used Silentaire 20A not long ago.
The thing is 20 years old according to serial number.

The compressor was a mess, paint and oil everywhere.

Gave the thing a good cleaning and check up, replaced the oil and air filter
and redid the teflon seals.
This machine is amazing despite its age and you can barely hear the thing!

Werther Silentaire compressors are top notch....worth every penny!

Cheers,
Joe

Hey I just got my Silent Aire 20A!

Man this is worth every penny. I got mine used and it looks like it was well taken care of. It's perfect for my little apartment. I was really surprised to hear how quite this was.

It also has a power switch, which my old one didn't. This got annoying fast. I look forward to using it soon.

Thanks for the reply, you helped my decision.
