Hi all
If you are reading this then i assume you like Deacs and the history behind them.

I am the same, I love the idea of collecting deacs and wondering where the weapon you posess has been?

My Collection consists of 5 Replicas and 1 Deac

Firstly My pride and joy

1943 M1903A3 Springfield
Put together due to the shortage of M1 Garands in the field.
Made by Smith Corona in 1943 this gun may have seen action in the pacific theatre of war where it was damaged.
It was then sent to Rock Island Armouries where it was repaired and fitted with a "scant" stock. I then think that by the time this gun was ready to return to war it had been replaced by the venerable M1 Garand.

If only it could talk!

The following guns are all replicas.

1866 Winchester Yellowboy Carbine by denix

1873 Colt Peacemaker "single action army" I'm not sure who made this replica

1860 Army Colt By Denix

1928 Thompson Sub Machine Gun
Luger P08 Parrabelum Both by Denix

Please share pictures of your Deac/Replicas and share any stories that your deacs have!
I hope you enjoyed reading this.

I am in the UK and would love to have a deactivated weapon from WW2, but they seem to be a political football all to often and I fear that our Political masters here or in Europe will declare them banned sooner or later to gain a few favourable headlines for a few days.

Remember a few years ago a MEP in Eurpoe tabled a motion to ban all German WW2 Militaria from being sold ?

Its a shame but great guns !

I would like to have a MP44 and MP40 the prices of these weapons are sky high though !

The UK Deac laws have been shaky since 2006 , many things have been said but very little has been done.

The current stance on the matter is that if the weapon was deactivated post 1995 that is the safest bet

Weapons can be bought that were deactivated before this and these are the ones the government are talking about as they are easier to rearm

i have a few guns of my own. unfortunately, i do not know their history.

the first i bought was a russian M44 carbine.
2nd was a canadian enfiled no4 mk1
and the last that i bought, which is also the cream of the crop, a K98 8mm mauser. markings indicate that it was made in the berlin factory. i wanna say it was a 43 or 44 year. i havent looked at the markings in a while, so i cannot be for sure.

Nice collection!

Recently popped down to a auction not expecting to find anything, and ended up leaving with a 1942 - M1 Bayonet

Is the MP40 a Denix by any chance?

I do love the Yugo Mg53's , nearly bought one last year! But i set my mind of getting something from ww2!

And how much did the Holster set you back?
I'm after a similar one for the P08

Cheers

Here's a picture of the Springfield and the M1 Bayonet i managed to pick up at a furniture Auction!

The Bayonet is 1942 Dated by AFH
I think that means "American Fork & Hoe Company"
