I am finding that I am getting a buildup of acrylic paint in my aztec 470, what I have done that seems to work is fill the hole where the tips go and invert so that the thinner stays in the hole and left it for awhile. My question is how long can I do this without harming any rubber seals etc? And can I soak my different tips in lacquer overnight without doing harm?

I'd get the cleaner for aztek brushes its very good and gives thhe brush a good clean
and badger also do a cleaner in an aerosol which clears the tips very well

If the aztec brush uses the same colored tips as the old Testors brushes then I think you can soak them in laquer thinner as long as you want. I don't know what kind of plastic those things are made out of but laquer thinner thinner has never harmed the ones I have.

I use enamels, and keep my tips sitting in little bottles filled with Mineral Spirits. I’ve never had a problem with paint build-up in the tips since doing this.
