These are pics from a couple months back when I "remodeled" a portion of my basement strictly for model building...this is my dedicated room for modeling...there have been a few changes since I took these pics but nothing major...what you can't see in these pics are my utility sink, more shelving, TV, Compresser and airbrushes, air cleaner, my reference "library", a king size futon for when I experience "modelers fatigue"...I lay down for 10 minutes or so and then I'm all recharged and ready to get back to modeling...tell me what you think

I also painted the walls with Drylok which is a paint that keeps moisture out of the room, especially in a basement. If you notice, I have laid black vinyl tiles on the floor so when I drop a part in say grey styrene, it is much easier to find due to the contrast of the part and the floor...makes finding dropped pieces of PE easier to find. I have more things I plan on doing but this is good enough for now

Oh this is so sweet. I love the way you have lined up your tools, and I can only imagine how much you have invested in all those paints. This is awesome!!!!1

they're nothing fancy but i used various sizes of basswood, wood glue, and brad nails...I actually plan on building better racks merely for looks even though these racks serve their purpose...it cost me 75 for the two racks (my local hobby shop is a little expensive)...I don't mind paying a little more if it helps keep them in business...

Cool. I was actually at home depot last night piecing together materials so I can build a better rack this weekend. Thanks for the photo!

I think "man salon" would be a better name. Way too clean and tidy to be a "cave".
Just play'n with ya. Looks nice. My benches only look like that when I first build them, and every other blue moon.

Very nice Jesse! I always have trouble finding paints. Multi level racks are a great idea!
