IMHO - I like the color scheme of the old one and the layout of the new one.
Both are fine though - go with what you like.

I'll be honest with you too...
People shouldn't look blue on images
No without fooling, I love the blue color, but it shouldn't be there where I expect flesh colors.
The layout is perfect.
