Not trying to provoke anyone, just trying to get your attention...

I do it, most of us do I guess. But who was the first guy to put floor polish (future) on his model and why? How would one get such an idea? You work hard on a model and then put floor polish on it without knowing the reaction it could cause? And then you even spray through your expensive airbrush? If it hadn't been for that guy I would never have dared to do it, not even gotten the idea! And then, how did he find out that it cleans with windex?

Just a silly question for fun for the end of the old year... Been vacuuming; always get silly ideas while vacuuming... Open for real and silly answers of course!

Cheers!
Stefan

PS: Happy new year everyone!

Could vey well be that it was stumbled upon by accident (like a gazillion other great inventions. In the same way I saved a complete waterpiece in a project because I accidentally touched the side of my scratched and dull sanded waterside with my thumb which happened to be wet. and noticed that where it was touched it became transparent again. Figuring (more like hoping) it would be the same if I coated the whole sides with clear gloss laquer. And if it wouldn't I would toss the project in the bin anyway.
This was the result

Sounds like a metaphor for life in general.

Like the guy (girl) who first thought to pull up roots and throw them on the fire with the day's catch.

I suspect that more great discoveries come by accident than by directed search.

Probably by someone who ran out of Tamyia Clear in the middle of a project and said the hell with it, let me try this stuff.

You're onto it Mark, the first guy to milk a cow. Now what was going on there ? Or the first person to eat an Oyster. "Umm, ok, this looks like a giant snot, I think I'll just pop it in my mouth !!"

Well, I've been told that most Scottish food is eaten on a dare.

I've read that the "discoverer" was an American guy who had his workbench in a garage. He had left a model there and accidentally, during the night, a bottle of Future fell off a shelf and spilled the wax on it. The day before the guy noticed that its model was incredibly shining and smelled of peach He had already put decals on his model, so he also noticed that under the wax layer, decal film had become totally invisible. Since then Future wax has been used for modelling purposes

Is it a true story? ...Well, who knows? But all in all it doesn't matter

Unfortunately here in Italy Future wax is unavailable

Cheers. I wish you a great new year to all of you

The person I feel sorry for is the one that lit a fire in his cave and the shiny black rocks caught fire.
