FYI, the World Junior Hockey Championships are currently being held in Calgary and Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.
Tonight was a Canada/ Czech Republic game in Edmonton.

They announced that the winner of the 50/50 draw took home....$84,000!
That's an average of about $10+ per person in a 16,000 + crowd.
Must have been a crowd full of oil patch workers.
Man...That would buy a lot of kits.

Saturday game Canada vs. U.S. in Edmonton. Game was meaningless, Canada had already won Group B, the U.S. was done.

Winner of 50/50 gets $146,000.
