The German Panther was one of the best tanks to see service in WWII, designed from the outset to regain combat superiority over Soviet tanks on the Eastern Front. It represented an ideal balance of firepower, mobility and protection. The final production version was the Ausf.G, which featured improvements such as a simplified hull to speed up production. Dragon Armor has just released a further brand new Panther Ausf.G that is differentiated by featuring steel road wheels. The Gummigefederten Stahllaufrollen (steel road wheels with internal rubber cushions) was fitted to a series of 24 Panther G tanks instead of regular rubber-rimmed road wheels.
