Ingredients:

a- a round Punch & Die set (or a tool used to make holes in the leather belts)
b- paint to match the colour of the headlight
c- Clear varnish (or Future)
d- white glue (optional)
e- plasticard sheet (or metal foil)
f- a paintbrush (or an airbrush)
g- low tack masking tape

How to:

1- Using the Punch & Die set (or a tool used to make holes in the leather belts) cut a few disks of the size(s) you need

2- Cut a lenght of low tack masking tape and put the discs you cut on it

3- Apply one (or more) coat(s) of the desired colour on the disc

4- Allow the paint to dry properly

5- Just add a drop of clear varnish (or white glue) on the center of the painted disk

6- When dry if not happy with the result repeat step 5

Of course there are several other ways to achieve similar results. This is just to give you an idea...

Ciao and happy modeling everybody!

Fabio,
that's a beautiful illustration. Really professional, with all the ingredients and the step-by-step approach ! Thanks for sharing.
That tank looks soooooooooooo good !

For clear headlights, I tried silver paint as well. Later, I switched to metal foil.

Glue some kitchen foil on a piece of plasticard, then punch circles with the right diameter. Then apply clear varnish, (future ? we don't have that in Europe...), epoxy resin, clear PU resin, etc...

For larger or complicated lights, I make a copy of the original light that comes with the kit.
I use silicone mold and clear PU resin, then glue some foil to the back. But a one-time-use plastiscine or miliput mold may do the trick too.. Colored lights (hindlights, police lights, I paint the dried clear PU with Tamiya's transparent paints.
