Well that was NOT a fun 3 days, but we are back and up on a new server which was on my list of things to do anyways. I just don't like doing it that way.

There will likely be some small bugs or even a few big ones out there so if you see anything you can let me know here.

Thanks,
Jim

Hi Jim, great work!! Just curious, I couldn't access my gallery of photos when I signed in? Just wanted to let you know, didn't know if you were still working out the bugs. Thanks again, Russell

Hi Russell,
I am not sure which domain you are on but some of the XXX.kitmaker.net domains may not yet be working via DNS/your ISP, etc. So some of us have to wait and see what is potentially up with the gallery. I was able to test the main site but not the gallery. No fears though I am 98% sure all the photos and data is there and waiting. There may just be a few server bugs to tweak to get the gallery working as it did (which actually wasn't working too well performance wise... but that's another long tale!).

Thanks,
Jim

It is already bad enough when it happens to your own PC, I cannot even imagine the ordeal you must have gone through to make everything working again.

Thanks a million for the dedication and hard work you and the rest of the guys put in the site (also when everything is working flawlessly!).

Hi Jim,

Great job getting the Forums back up! However, when I click the Photos tab to go to the galleries, it takes me to a blank page with only an advertising banner and the "switch sites" box - there isn't even the Login toolbar. Sorry to bear bad news...

DNS (domain name system) can take up to 48 hours to refresh with some internet service providers (ISP's) so hang in there

P.S. Thanks for all you efforts this weekend Jim. The site doesn't appear to be taking an age to load for me any more

Thanks Jim! And for a bonus: the Kitmaker Benelux website is a lot quicker on the new server!

We mere mortals really do take it for granted that we can just push the power button and this magnificent site will just magically appear for us. Having the Kitmaker Network unavailable even for a couple of days really makes me appreciate the skills and efforts of the gurus that make this all happen.

Awesome work Jim (et al), very much appreciated by this interweb mug from down under.

Cheers, D

Thnks for the hard work so far, Jim.

I have found one more glitch.

Since the new/fixed site has come back up, the Orange Folder for a new topic or post is not working for me. I have to go back and look at the times to see when a new post was added after the last time I visited.

They seem to be back and working now. Thanks Jim for fixing them.
