Kit review
Has anyone done a Italeri Tiger Elephant Tank 1-35
Are there any problems with the kit
Anything that I should know.
The kit appears to be nice and accurate.

An easily damaged suspension if care is not taken and a poorly located gun that has to be glued into position are the only weak points I can remember from from when I built this kit about 15 years ago.

It's not a bad kit for its age, I believe Aber and Eduard both make AM etch for the kit, and the Hobby Boss plastic indy tracks will dress it up nicely. The Italeri Elefant is the later version, and appearsto ahve the correct features.

This is an old kit, first released circa 1977, but very good for it's age. I have done this kit recently and had to hit it with a big stick to bring it upto date. Replacement tracks are a must. I opted for the white metal replacements plus an aluminium replacement main gun barrel. Finally, if the kit is to be accurate, will require zimmerit anti magnetic coating. I opted for the resin Cavalier type.(Eduard do a brass replacement if you prefer.) Although not as accurate as the more recent Dragon release of this tank, I found it a joy to build.
