My local HobbyTownUSA store is having a 50% off sidewalk sale. There were many topnotch armor kits on the tables like the Tamiya mid and late Tiger I, new tool PzKpfw IV H and J (about $20 each after disc.), Steyr Command Car-$13, new tool Wirbelwind-$13, Acdemy Super Sherman-$14, Italeri Puma-$10, Opel Blitz Einsomething-$10, M107-$10, Ostwind-$12, Panther A-$12, several other armor kits as well.

I picked up the new tool Tamiya Wespe for $15, German mounted Infantry for $2.50 and Tamiya Panther G PE grill set for $4. Also got a Revell Perry Rodan Marco Polo space ship for about $6.

Man, Rob, when my local Lob has a sidewalk sale it is usually 10 baskets of embroidery floss, 2 baskets of Butterick patterns, some plastic fruit. I will have to swing by there on the way home and see what they have sitting out.

Thanks for the heads up.

Shaun

EDIT Totally misread this post. Thought Rob meant Hobby Lobby. He clearly said Hobby Town. My bad. And, I was at work when I read the original. OOOPS UNEDIT

The luck (or skill) certainly seems to be with you. It's like that expression: the rich keep on getting richer.

You guys are lucky to have either a Hobby Town or Hobby lobby ....I don't have either one close to me. Pittsburgh has the nearest Hobby Town and that is 60 miles..I wonder if this is a nationwide sale? Now when I go to my wife's hometown of Omaha...they have both!

I swear Rob, only you could get that lucky. The local hobby shop here puts out kiddee/garbage kits on their sidewalk sales.

Yeah it sounds like you got lucky. Right now I have a beef with Hobbytown and their pratices. Sat. Oct. 4 was supposed to be Hobbytowns National model contest, well the 2 I have closeset to me knew nothing about it. I told them it had been advertised in FSM and they still knew nothing. Sorry that I jumped on your thread but I saw Hobbytown and had to vent.

Thanks,

Vann
