Ok, I would like to know if there is a formula for the size of your model to what the base size should be? Example: if you have a F-14 in 1/72nd scale that is 6 inches in length, what should your base size be?I hope you understand what I'm trying to say. Thank you!

I'd go the Golden Ratio

Applies to everything you want to make look pleasing from buildings to women

In my opinion modellers tend to over-think certain things. Follow your heart ... if it looks good ... its right. No need to get all technical and mathematical about base size. Let your work flow and the base size will look after itself.
