Hi all,

I have posted some questions about scratching wheels, both rims and tires, but did that in the "normal" armor categorie. I haven't really got scratchbuilding experience except for some minor details so I hope I can learn a lot from you guys.
A while ago I bought (2nd hand) some M113 parts from the 1:16 VP M113. I am planning on building another version like the M163 Vulcan or (Israeli) Fitter. I haven't made up my mind yet but one thing is for sure; I will have to scratchbuild a lot !
I am really curious about your opinion and tips you guys might have.

Thanks in advance,
Marc

If there is one thing you will need, it is lots of references. Not just books, but pictures, drawings, and anything else you can get your hands on. There is never going to be enough to do a thourough job till you have spent six months and all your time looking. Another thing you will need id the ability to cut a straight line and a 90 degree angle. These two things are the hardest for me. That and making two pieces the same length.

Marc-
Here's a site to get you started http://afyinteriors.hobbyvista.com This has a huge amount of both interior and exterior pictures for not only the m113 but many more. Hope this helps and post pics of the model as soon as possible!
