I'm working on a sherman tank in Italy. And I wish to add some text to the side of the tank written by locals:

"Viva Canadesi" and "Morte di Mussolini" is this correct Italian?

Cheers Remi

Hi Remi

The correct sentences are:

" Viva i canadesi !" ( without capital letter, we don't use capital letter for the names of people)

and

" A morte Mussolini ! "
or
" Mussolini a morte ! "

Regarding the slogan against Mussolini, it would be better to write

"A morte il Duce! "

or

" Fascisti a morte" (death to fascists)

I hope this will be useful for you

Cheers

Yes of course

You can write

"Morte al fascio"

" Morte ai traditori fascisti "

" Viva la Resistenza ! " (here you have to use the capital letter)

Is also quite common instead of writing the word " viva", writing the letter " W "

so you can also write:

"W i canadesi ! " ( Viva i canadesi )

"W la Resistenza !" (Viva la resistenza )
