I am trying to discover the titles of armor related books completed by Hunnicut. So far, I know he put them out on tthe Sherman, Half Track, Stuart, and Sheridan. Does any know the complete list? Does anyone have a reliable source to purchase the book from? I bought the Sherman book at Knox some years ago for the unheard of price (then) of $50.
thanks

Hunnicutt has also done
Bradley : A History of American Fighting and Support Vehicles
Pershing: A History of the Medium Tank T20 Series
Patton : A History of the American Main Battle Tank
Abrams : A History of the American Main Battle Tank
Firepower : A History of the American Heavy Tank
Armored Car : A History of American Wheeled Combat Vehicles (August 2002)
There may be more
From the Presidio Press website -
R. P. Hunnicutt is a retired engineer who lives in Granite Bay, California. He is the author of a critically acclaimed series of oversized, heavily illustrated books covering American tanks.

At the going price for current and OOP Hunnicutt books, we ought to set up a listing of who owns which book. That way we can share the knowledge of the books without having to spend big bucks trying to find the older ones. I only have two:
Sheridan, A History of American Light Tanks vol. 2
Half-Track, A History of American Semi-Tracked Vehicles
If someone could point me in the direction of an affordable Stuart book, I would appreciate it.

Rob--agree. I have the fabulous "Sherman." Who has what? Maybe we should move this to the Armor Forum?
What do you think?

thanks

So far I have:
SHERMAN, from Motorbooks.
PERSHING, a rare find for $40 at Powell's Books in Portland.
I will try to pick up most of the others over time, particularly if I can find them used at a reasonable price.

I remember seeing the Firepower, Pershing and Patton books at Ft. Knox's Armor School Bookstore many years ago and being floored at the $50+ price tag. Today, I'd buy everyone they had at that price!

Brother--I know how you feel. My Son is going to the August Career Course and I am going to ask him to check it out for me. Much has changed since I was last there.

Roger that! What kills me is I broke down and had to spend 105 on the Patton book. All my others came much more cheaply.
I currently posses:
Sheridan
Patton
Sherman
Bradley
Half-Track
I also pre-pub ordered Armored Car from Amazon
I have my sights set on the Pershing and Stuart volumes...

I believe it covers the history of American armored cars pre-M3 Scout Cars to the LAVs.

Rob--I fear hitting the Amazon website

My concern is that I will find the Hunnicut Stuart book, buy it without questions, use it, read it, etc and never be concerned about the cost. Lord, I am so glad I do models rather than take drugs...

As far as I know, the Stuart book is still unavailable
Armored Car listed at 95, but pre-pub special was 66.50. Had to order it. However, they have not yet recieved it form the publisher. Sabot hit it...all US wheelled armor.

Bob--thanks. I can not find any editions for any Hunnicut subject in my normal run of used book stores. If I can talk the little women into going to a nearby town, it might yield some results. I can always say "I am doing my Christmas shopping early" to her. Worked last time I dropped a mint and got the Dragon Wagon.
