I was just wondering why 1/48 armor is refered to as "quater scale"

Hi Michael,
It‘s derived from „1/4 inch to the foot“ which means that in 1/48 scale a quarter of an inch equals one foot.

Or in other words: a 1/4 inch is a “scale foot“ in 1/48 scale.
