whilst at the airport going on holiday browsing through some books I came across the book berlin by antony beevor this book is an excellent read and gives loads of personal inteviews with surviors ect it covers the last battles in the East from Jan 45 right up to the fall of Berlin some good pictures too of soviet armour
this books gets 5 out of 5 from me

I've got Beevor's book on my shelves as well. Also very good is 'The Fall Of Berlin' by Read and Fisher. Beevor is one of these rare academics who can write a book in a very readable manner, without falling into the trap of 'pop' history. Jim
