Hello Guys!

Hope your modeling is going well for all.

Question... what is the most solid method or joining white metal part?

CA, Epoxy or Welding (if it can be done with white metal)...? I have an old kit that would like to restore, and would love to join the white metal suspension components the most solid way possible.

In case you are wondering what the kit is, it is an AA US Army T-28 Superheavy Tank, which you guessed it, it is a heavy brick of resin and white metal, and would like to have the suspension as solid as possible.

Thanks, as usual!

Jorge

Before I started back into military modelling, I built several Warhammer figures. White metal is basically pewter. I used superglue for metal to metal and metal to plastic joints without a problem.

I have used CA and Epoxy, The epoxy will last longer in my experience, but either are fine. Just make sure you have clean surfaces to glue to. I try and roughen up the surfaces a bit to give the glue something to 'bite' into.

Thank you, Gents.

I think I will go with a drop of CA for fixing the part in place, and follow up on all seams with fast-drying epoxy for the extra hold.

Thanks again,

Jorge
