It showed a model of a Pz. IV someplace in Russia in probably the late '40s or '50s that had been basically 'forgotten' by larger historical events and left to the whims of Mother Nature. It is sitting alone in some kind of field with all kinds of wild flowers growing all around it. Been holed a couple of times by AT hits and lost a track, but other than that, it's basically a whole vehicle. The builder did a really nice job of making this vehicle/diorama as it showed lots and lots of weathering effects on an abandoned and long lost AFV left to the ravages of time.
Now I believe that I've seen only a picture or two on the Net. of other modelers who have build something like this and was wondering of anybody else out there has tried their hand at it. Seems it would be a very interesting project to try sometime where a person could go from 'mild-to-wild' on the weathering, depending on just how long they wished to show the AFV had been sitting there.
Anyway I was just curious, as it sounds like kind of an interesting project to do, what with all the photos in various books showing destroyed AFVs of various nations in this war.
Thanks and take care, sgirty.
