I have no idea what USPS will charge to New York.  How big are the boxes?  I think USPS might have a "If it fits, it ships" box that thek might fit into.

Jim, if you go to the USPS site you'll find the send a package section and there it will ask you these things
- box dimensions{height/width/depth}
-box weight
- zip package is located and zip where it needs to go to
-finally one picks insurance if needed and what shipping{speed} you want.
You can pay and print out the shipping postage and invoice off the web and it's alittle cheaper than going to the post office and having someone do it for you...just walk in and drop your package off to somebody there and your set.
I've worked with this set up when I unloaded a bunch of my old RC aircraft I knew I wasn't ever going to build...or crash now!
