I recomend the History Chanels "The Color of War". It deals with ETO, PTO, and ATO during WWII. Actual color footage shot by war correspondants and a great series to inspire vignettes and dioramas.

A lot of the footage is "colorized". Those overly concerned with historical accuracy would frown upon that. That said, I liked the series.

The color isn't really what matters. Still a great series to get ideas from.

i like the series. also ww2 in color. althought some may say it takes away from the accuracy. it gives the viewer something to grasp. with black and white there is still a thought of what it really looked like.

I just watched it, again. Netflix has quite a few new military documentaries for the holiday season.
