Hey guys and gals,
Found a treasure at Michael's Arts and Crafts. On their "jewelry" isle they have several different sizes of chain. I picked up 72" of fine chain for about $2, with tax. No more $6 for 10".

I'll have to check that out- thanks for the heads up! I hope they're chain is smaller than Hobby Lobby's craft store chain...that's what I've been using{comparibly priced to yours except 60" @ roughly $3}

I have all their chains and all sizes. Very useful. So what about scale ? Since in reality there are so many different sizes of chain. If it looks right , use it. If it doesn't , then don't. One can spend all day counting the rivets , but time better spent would be actually building something............Oh and the really small chains can be found at a good model railroad shop. Usually costs a little more.

JB Model has 5 chain sizes for sale with the smallest chain link being 1.35mm X 1.65mm. How many links that is per inch I don't know.

I bought the smallest size they had available and it seems to be perfect for 1/35. I'll be using it on my M32 ARV w/T1E1.

I just spray paint it. Or you can blacken it with the same stuff you use for brass.

The best chain I bought to date was 16 link per cm black chain from L'Arsenal. It is finer then Hasegawa provides for their 1:350 models and more true to the scale.
It would be nice to get this 72" for 2 $ !
