Very good! I have cousins near Nottingham so I am going to try and get to that. It would be nice to put a name to the face. Anyhow, you mentioned a local model shop in a previous message on this thread? Where would that be Ian?

right who's off to telford in Nov? and what date ? but one thing is like Ian said he has about
40 ish displays a year right noe this takes up a lot of his time and seeing him in action last year at telford on the sunday even the missus was impressed has made me think that instead of so many shows why dont clubs from nearby host these events together I'm sure Ian has had many visits to places very close to each other over the space of time.
by doing this it would have a better effect due to local clubs being able to share the costs of hall hire/insurance. also by reducing the No of events will lead to more people visting and spending a little more money and also having bigger displays ect which inturn will bring more traders some times a little less is better as stated too many shows and the same vendors all the time so people know what to expect and lose interest sorry but its a hard fact of life but being realistic if you split it down to a few regional shows per year attendancies ect would go up and would allow for people to travel to one or two nearby
I could ramble on but I'm 1/2 pissed so any comments on this post are most welcome

be grateful that you actually have models shows. i live in the epitamy of nothing ...i only have one hobby store and thankfully he fullfills my needs. but no model shows or contests near me.

hi all , i forgot to add the model shop is in nottingham and in broadmarsh shopping centre on the upper floor near the escalator , as to clubs combining , i have advocated this for many years but it boils down to petty differences between clubs and just who get the monies and how to share it out , I will be at Southwell Model show , Nottingham this sunday in the pavilion of the racecourse , I will not be doing a demo as i have a very heavy head cold , so i will just have just the display and a few kits and books to sell on , cheers ian
