last few weeks ive been putting together some ideas on my next build
im pretty sure i have most of it figured out how to do
only difference between what im going to is that will have aworking water cannon on top the cab. other then that i think i can pretty much come close to it.

the truck will be full functional
i have the scale at 1/11.5
rails are 843mm long
this will have full detailed interior
opening doors
sounds lights etc

i know its a little early to show you guys, because i really cant start for awhile. but i can do alittle here and there .once i get the t3000 done ,then i can go full throttle on it

in the mean time , ive ordered parts for the chassis, tire, rims and axles

heres a picture of the 1:1. i will paint it the same scheme

ive started on the rails. have to say im going to be working on the rails for awhile as there a huge amount of work that needs to be done with them.

i have a couple of pictures showing some of what im doing. the rails and crossmembers has a lot of parts that need to be added, before going on to the suspension

the 1st picture is the front

the front chassis rails get cut on a angle and the pull ring mounts from the inside of the rails
the 2nd picture is of the rear chassis. same thing on the pull rings

sense im going with a bigger scale, the standard rail (62mm) are to small. the chassis width is now 70mm

there about 20 more screws i need to add to the rails and a couple more supports

im also going to be adding cab supports and couple others before priming
i dont have a mill so i have to make do with what i have far as suspension goes

it wil be kool though. boy! i cant wait to get some color on this chassis but, right now im focusing on the oshhosh arff but devoting one a day or so a week on this project

i made the cab mounts useing .080 styrene

doesnt look strong but once you have it all together, the mounts feel really strong

amazing build
I have a question regarding the material.
You are using Styrene, do you think that the styrene will hold the weight of the complete model?
i hope to hear from you soon
Cheers

sense the truck is going to be non military, why put military seat.

i want to not newr type seats but something that i can remember from my 69 camaro

the seats and interior is going to be black and orange. so i made seat today, wanted you guys imput. they do fold done. i made it out od 3x .125 styrene,.040 for the side straps and rubber legs for the seat cushion.

i made some lower bars for the rocker suspension. skocks , tires and rims are here .

it takes 2x tires to make one (thnx stu) and 2x rims to make one. so lots of modding to do.

still havent thought of which motor to put in it

the alum steering knuckles came in. i was also able to install the steering bell cranks. these were also alum made

so the front suspension is done. but still need to install steering servo.

you can see that i started on the engine compartment floor. this will be removable

next im modding the rims for the doulbe wide tires
