Hello all,
I am wondering if there is a way to color or paint decal film for Misc. uses. I have heard of printing on the alps but was wondering if there was a way just to put a single color on the film you could cut out or something to that effect that would be more acurate than painting or masking.

You should be able to paint just about anything on clear decal sheets and use them to cut things etc. Just make sure you put a clear varnish over what you paint to seal it to the decal sheet. For simple shapes though I just use homemade spraying masks, much less hassle and you don't need to worry about decaling (gloss finish, microsol/set etc...)

In addition to Brian, I use the masks on the decal sheet and seal it with clear coat, but I do spray my base color first (it works if you painting a single color vehicle) so You dont need to care too much in trimming the excess film...
