A pair of Canada Geese just checked out my balcony to see whether it's a good place to make a nest. I have been using it as a general spraying area. I'm just glad that I didn't have any freshly-sprayed models there this morning.

Great photo. That goose looks halfway to a decent Luftwaffe camouflage scheme. We have these geese everywhere ... they're an enormous nuisance because they basically just eat and poop and they're big enough not to be afraid of people.

These two really wanted to set up housekeeping. One even started to rearrange the little garden plot and they just hissed at me while I was taking the pictures. Even hitting the wall with a broom handle didn't scare them. I eventually had to nudge them on the tail to get them to fly away.

If I lived closer to the ground I would have let them stay, but the 9th floor is no place for a family of goslings to grow up.
