Hi everyone, just a quick question about Future/Passt. Does anyone know if they react with alcohol, such as metholated spirits and Tamiya acrylic thinner?

As always, any input is greatly appreciated.

Hi Dean.
Future/Klear is acrylic based and as such Tamiya Thinners and isopropyl alcohol will strip it from plastic.
It will however, act as a barrier to oil based washes thinned with turpentine and enamels painted over the acrylic coat can be removed with white spirit.
Use this sparingly though as too much will probably damage the surface. A Qtip/cotton bud just dampened with white spirit will remove enamel overspray.
Practice on a piece of plasticard/scrap model first!
Hope this helps
