When I log into Kitmaker- not Armorama or HF my private message icon is flashing and I see " Welcome back, exer! You have 1 Private Message waiting" however when I click through there's no new message there.

This is just a guess on my part but could it be a message from someone you have blocked, and so the message is hidden.

I have not blocked anyone that I remember. How do I checked if someone is blocked? It is also strange that it is only in the Kitmaker Network...

We did have someone sending junk PMs. I wonder if when that user's account got zapped that the PM system still thinks there is a new message waiting for you even though the message is no longer there.

That sounds plausible Gary. I can't find the Hide/Unhide Users button anywhere either...

That might be it Gary in which case am I doomed to have that phantom message for ever or can Big Jim zap it?

It's not an issue with the hide user function but as Gary pointed out a banned user sending bad PM's. I was unaware of this bug but apparently it only is showing up on older site code (like KitMaker, etc).
