I'm going to the Squadron Open House on the 20th. I've never been ....where is it, what time, and what's it like. Tours? Kit Specials? Etc.........I've looked at their website but not much info provided. What should this first time visitor expect? Any hints or tips? Thanks, J.C. Shreveport, LA

A belated reply, but here you go. I'm sure you've figured out how to get there by now. Even though today is the 20th, perhaps someone else vacillating about going might be encouraged to.

Expect:
Great deals on current, old, and brand new items.
To meet and make new friends. (I met Mike Mummey there two years ago although I had known him from emails for a year or two prior to that)
A very nice lunch that is provided so that you can spend all of your time perusing the floor and not wondering where to go out and eat.
Dozens of overweight, middle aged men walking up and down the aisles like kids in a candy shop.
To drop at least four bills every time you go.
