I am more confident than ever I will have a few entries ready, and the hotel booked etc, It's only 6 weeks away..... ok some of the entries might still have paint drying..

I will be there as a trader.
Then to Pukka, then to my farm in Tumbarumba to do a spot of shooting and fishing.

Your just a big tease with the shooting and fishing... I'm green with envy of course. A trip to Pukka may be on the cards for me too. Dad's coming over with me to help lessen the burden of cost and driving. He is a Vietnam vet (1969, Vung tau, triage nurse, med corps), the last year when we went to melbourne comp we pulled stumps 2 days early and drove to the war memorial in Canberra on a whim instead!
This time I am hoping to get out to the tank museum if its open on the Sunday or Monday (after the swap meet). Never been to the museum. But we also have to squeeze in melbourne museum, and the melb aquarium this time, and check the footy fiixture..

LoL the South Aussies are coming....

I heard that some hack crow-eater had thrown together a little dio with some ASLAVS for the show, so I might stick my head in to check it out.

Myself and my Best Mate will be coming down for the Show. We are leaving BRizvegas at 3am on the Thursday before hand and arriving on the Friday. We are both putting entries in the Ships Categories. We will be going home via Canberra as both of us have never been to the War Memorial yet so it will kill 2 Birds with one Stone.....Cheers Mark

hehehe, nothing wrong with a little cross-border friendly rivalry.

I can't wait to check the dio first hand mate, it looks absolutely stunning on the interweb but nothing beats the "right under your nose" view.

Cheers, D

Unfortunately due to an underlying medical condition and the Qld public health system (insert appropriate derogatory term here), I now wont be able to attend the show.
I apologise for the short notice and HOPE to make it next year.

Cheers Jason

I am very, very sorry to hear that. I hope you can work on your health issue and get some improvement.

Selfishly I am dissapointed not to meet you / see your stand/ and get the chance to swap some war stories after hours. Was my shout and all...

Will be probably 4 -5 years before I get to go to Melbourne and compete again. Takes that long to put something togethere worth the effort of going.

Fear not though, I will take many pictures and hopefuly some video to upload to youtube.

yeah no worries - my photgraphy skills are'nt brilliant but I know the basics. Its kind of a budget weekend for me, so I will have spare time to take pics an then hopefully do something with them in the evening.

Modern armour stuff interests me, aircraft dont. but I always take pics of winning models as its good to see who won what when they come to the local show...
